Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Junior Project Manager in Chicago to support a growing general contracting team across multifamily and residential projects. The role offers a strong compensation package, bonus, and car allowance, with opportunities to advance as you grow with the company.

You will coordinate planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project delivery from initiation to handover.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in multifamily housing construction.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proficient in PM software and standard office tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to meet goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Contribute to risk management through identification and mitigation.
  • Adhere to industry standards and company policies.

Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from luxury high-rises to affordable housing units. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of these projects, from initiation to completion. This position is permanent, offering you the opportunity to grow and develop within our organization and the broader construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Adhere to all industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements while managing projects.
  • Contribute to risk management, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of potential project risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in multifamily housing projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and standard office software (MS Office, Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification is a plus.
