Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an Entry-level Project Engineer to join our on-site team in El Paso, TX. You will assist in coordinating construction activities, monitor self-perform work, and support QA/QC efforts while learning company best practices and lean construction methods.

You will work closely with the project team to track progress, prepare documentation, and contribute to punch lists and inspections, helping deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety and quality plans and culture to promote an injury-free environment.
• Assist with QA/QC planning to ensure task quality.
• Assist with estimating and change management, including quantity take-off and subcontractor proposals.
• Support on-site project tasks such as monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantities and equipment.
• Assist with punch lists, inspections, safety reviews and documentation preparation.
• Review drawings and specifications; post latest information.
• Attend and participate in project meetings and disseminate required documentation.
• Support and generate project reports including daily/weekly progress and manpower.
