Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support on-site construction and field execution in Tampa, FL. You will engage in safety and quality plans, assist with QA/QC and imaging processes, and help with estimating, change management, and daily project reporting.

You will work with the project team to monitor crew size, materials, and equipment while preparing documentation and logs for procurement and shop drawings. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Entry level construction experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Learn and actively participate in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participate in QA/QC planning to ensure task quality.
• Assist with estimating and change management, including quantity take-off.
• Work on site with project team to monitor crew size, self-perform hours, materials and equipment.
• Prepare and disseminate required documentation; participate in meetings.
• Create procurement logs and track shop drawings and deliveries.
• Provide progress updates to support scheduling and reporting.
• Support project close-out activities including punch lists and manuals.
