Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team in a hybrid Chicago-area role. The candidate will support budgeting, scheduling, forecasting and earned value activities across projects with supervision.

The ideal candidate will have foundational project management knowledge, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Primavera and EcoSys tools to help our team monitor costs and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
• Gathers project progress information to update and monitor basic complexity projects.
• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and regulations.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for routine projects.
• Generates earned value reports and discusses observations with supervisors.
• Documents and assesses impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
