Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. This role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance, partnering with project managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has basic project management knowledge, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Primavera P6 and EcoSys. This position may require domestic travel; hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for federal contracts.
• Foundational knowledge of project management methods including budgeting and planning.
• Strong teamwork and communication in fast-paced environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication with staff and clients.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and EcoSys tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers progress data to update schedules and costs.
• Under supervision, develops, maintains and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for portions of projects.
• Generates earned value reports and communicates observations to project managers.
• Performs basic financial analysis and documents cost/schedule changes impact.
• Uses document management for project records and supports other duties as needed.
