Job summary

Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to support project-site accounting and payroll functions across Texas project sites. You will assist with data entry, invoicing, and procurement activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and willingness to relocate to project sites in Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in accounting, payroll, and procurement.
• Associate degree or higher in finance, accounting, payroll, HR, or procurement preferred.
• Experience with payroll on larger-scale construction projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of Sage 300, TimberScan, Mjob, and DocuSign is preferred.
• Proficient with ADP, Excel, Adobe, Word, and Microsoft Teams; comfortable in a paperless environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly payroll processing and reconciliation using ADP for craft/hourly personnel.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll and supporting information.
• Coordinate other payroll procedures or pay runs as needed.
• Assist with reconciling and managing jobsite bank accounts.
• Audit, verify approvals, and submit expense reports for jobsite employees.
• Create and submit purchase/change orders to vendors via DocuSign.
• Enter POs, change orders, and invoices into Sage 300 and TimberScan.
• Support monthly invoicing to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Perform three-way match for AP invoices related to jobsite.
• Maintain home-office documentation logs and certificates of insurance.
