Job summary

Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to join our Texas project sites, acting as the liaison between the field and home office accounting. You will handle daily accounting and payroll tasks, data entry, invoicing support, and procurement coordination.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting/payroll, an associate degree in finance or related field, and experience with ADP, Sage 300 and TimberScan. Willingness to relocate to Reeves or Ward County, TX is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related accounting/payroll experience on construction projects.
• Associate degree or higher in finance, accounting, payroll, HR, or procurement preferred.
• Experience with payroll using ADP and project accounting on jobsites is a plus.
• Knowledge of Sage 300, TimberScan, and DocuSign is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for craft/hourly personnel using ADP.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll and supporting information.
• Help coordinate payroll procedures or pay runs as needed.
• Assist with reconciling and managing jobsite bank accounts.
• Audit, verify approvals, and submit expense reports for jobsite employees.
• Create purchase/change orders and submit to vendors through DocuSign.
• Enter purchase orders, change orders, and invoices into Sage 300 and TimberScan.
• Support the preparation of monthly invoices for accurate billing.
• Perform three-way match for AP invoices related to the jobsite.
• Maintain documentation for home office (rental log, PO log, certificates of insurance).
