Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a process engineer to perform design tasks for chemical and biochemical projects. You will work under close supervision to develop conceptual layouts, assist with cost studies, and prepare material take-offs for estimates.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S./M.S. in chemical-related engineering and has 1+ years of industry experience, with EIT preferred and PE/CPIP considered. Travel for site work and client meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferred; PE/CPIP preferred upon eligibility.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical/petroleum/biochemical process design.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete design of less complex process engineering assignments under close supervision.
• Assist in conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for project estimating.
• Check calculations for conformance to codes and design criteria.
• Support drafting with sketches and details for engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with design leaders to ensure smooth information flow and on-time project completion.
• Travel for on-site work, project meetings, or client presentations as needed.
