Job summary

Hargrove is seeking an entry-level process design engineer to assist with routine, less complex engineering tasks under direct supervision. You will support safety practices, standard procedures, and concept development while contributing to cost studies and material take-offs.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master of Science in a chemical, mechanical, biochemical, or petroleum engineering program and may prefer EIT registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) registration strongly preferred.
• Up to 1 year of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum or biochemical process design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Promoting safety culture in process design.
• Familiarity with department standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Work on project tasks with supervision and contribute to conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Produce estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Create design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• Resolve routine layout and detailing problems with design groups.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines for timely project completion.
• Travel as required for on-site work, meetings, or training opportunities.
