Sompo in Alpharetta, GA is hiring an Assistant Pricing Developer to join the Pricing and Analytics team. You’ll help migrate Excel pricing models to HX Renew and enhance pricing models with Python, SQL, and JavaScript, collaborating with actuaries, underwriters, and other developers.

This is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career candidate seeking actuarial exams but not required. You’ll support model testing, data analysis with pandas, and API integrations while learning the business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or related science.
• Early-career candidate; internships or projects welcome.
• Experience with Python or similar programming language.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Excel models to HX Renew and enhance pricing models.
• Support UI components in HX Renew with basic JavaScript.
• Investigate calculations and troubleshoot model issues.
• Develop test cases and document model changes before release.
• Collaborate with Pricing Developers, Actuaries, and Underwriters.
