Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the actuarial pricing team. The role involves developing rate strategies, conducting independent analysis, and supporting pricing processes across multiple lines of business including Professional Liability, General Liability, BOP and Cyber.

You will partner with pricing managers to drive profitable growth and build pricing tools and dashboards. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in P&C actuarial pricing, 5+ CAS exams, a quantitative degree, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of P&C actuarial pricing experience
• 5+ CAS exams pursued with ACAS/FCAS in view
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or related field
• Hands-on experience preparing rate filings and handling DOI objections
• SQL proficiency; familiarity with Python, R or VBA

Responsibilities

• Design pricing frameworks for new products; select rating variables, base rates, and reliabilities
• Prepare state filings, actuarial memoranda, and exhibits for product approvals
• Maintain rate change processes, indications, competitor comparisons and rate filings
• Collaborate with IT to update raters and policy administration systems; monitor post-change metrics
• Perform profitability reviews and translate findings into pricing and underwriting recommendations
• Partner with Product, Underwriting and Distribution on segment pricing strategy and planning
• Monitor market activity, regulatory developments, and pricing trends
• Build SQL queries, validation routines, and dashboards for pricing insights
• Apply actuarial methods including GLMs; contribute to model governance and documentation
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
