Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Pricing Analyst to develop and implement pricing processes and strategies in partnership with multiple teams. You’ll maintain rate indication processes, apply actuarial techniques, and support rate filings.

The role involves SQL/R/VBA coding, data validation, and presenting findings to stakeholders. This hybrid NY-based position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a clear path toward CAS accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 0–3 years of pricing experience.
• Actuarial accreditation progress (CAS exams preferred).
• Strong SQL, VBA, and/or R coding skills and data visualization ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and streamline quarterly rate indication process with methodologies and documentation.
• Apply standard actuarial techniques (loss development, trending, GLMs) for rate setting.
• Communicate product concerns and recommendations via PowerPoint/Tableau.
• Develop data processes: SQL queries, data validation, and data quality checks.
