Job summary

The L.E. Myers Co. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I (Transmission & Distribution) in Glen Allen, VA. This role supports the Project Manager across electrical construction projects, ensuring safety, schedules, and client satisfaction.

You will communicate with clients, coordinate with crews and vendors, and prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and project documentation to help deliver on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Estimator or Project Engineer in electrical construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; education/experience combination considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in a wide range of project management duties.
• Proactively develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may arise.
• Study bid specifications and drawings carefully.
• Communicate continuously with clients.
• Deliver on projects in a timely manner.
• Attend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as needed.
• Coordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments within the company.
• Ensure safety procedures and policies are in place and followed.
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location.
