Job summary

Datavail is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support managed service engagements and maintain the performance, availability, and security of production Oracle databases. This role will be customer-facing and requires strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

You will work with Datavail DBAs, focusing on production optimization, DBaaS development, and disaster recovery using RAC, Data Guard, and cloud platforms (AWS/OCI/Azure).

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience supporting Oracle databases.
Experience with backup and recovery using RMAN.
Familiarity with Data Guard and RAC.
Experience with OEM, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.
Able to obtain AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification within 12 months.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required due to ITAR.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for managed service engagements.
Optimize production Oracle systems and assist in building a DBaaS offering.
Collaborate with Datavail DBAs and enterprise clients.
Follow ITSM/ITIL processes for incidents, requests, and changes.
Create and maintain operational documentation.
