Job summary

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Oracle DBA to support day-to-day operations, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability. You will collaborate with the Site Reliability Engineering team to own a full stack of services, ensuring security, resiliency, and scale across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role requires leadership in diagnosing complex issues, optimizing RAC/Data Guard configurations, and contributing to SOPs. Availability for shifts and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with poly.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends.
• Extensive Oracle DB experience (11g/12c/19c+).
• RMAN backup/recovery expertise including DR scenarios.
• Hands-on with Oracle RAC and/or Data Guard.
• Shell scripting (Bash).
• SQL and PL/SQL proficiency.
• Familiar with Exadata and cloud/on-prem environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical Oracle database environments.
• Ensure database availability, performance, security, and recoverability across on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Partner with development teams to implement improvements in service architecture.
• Escalate complex issues and document SOPs for ongoing operations.
• Explain product architecture decisions affecting distributed systems.
• Be available for shifts and weekends.
