Job summary

Datavail is seeking an Oracle DBA to support managed service engagements and ensure production databases are secure, highly available, and optimized across Oracle versions 9i through 26ai.

This customer-facing role requires strong troubleshooting and communication skills and offers the opportunity to contribute to a future DBaaS offering while collaborating with enterprise clients and a team of experienced DBAs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Oracle database support experience or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Oracle concepts and architecture.
• Experience with Oracle versions 11g–23ai.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for managed service engagements and optimize production databases.
• Contribute to building a Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) offering and automate routine tasks.
• Escalate and troubleshoot issues, communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.
