Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Junior NOC Network Administrator to support daily operations of servers and core services. You will monitor systems, perform basic troubleshooting, patching, backups, and documentation under guidance from senior staff.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience, 0–3 years in similar roles, and foundational knowledge of Windows/Linux health checks. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in computer science or IT.
• 0–3 years of junior system administration, NOC support, or similar infrastructure operations roles.
• Foundational understanding of system administration concepts, including user/group management, file permissions, basic networking, and health checks for Windows and/or Linux.
• Training or practical experience with system monitoring tools, ticketing systems, backup solutions, and basic virtualization concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to document configurations, changes, and incidents under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, OS, and core services with monitoring and ticketing tools; review alerts and prioritize actions.
• Execute standard operating procedures for routine admin tasks including patching, configuration changes, restarts, backups, and user/group management.
• Troubleshoot common system issues and escalate incidents beyond runbook guidance.
• Maintain accurate system documentation for audits and repeatable operations.
• Participate in incident response, backup/recovery, and security monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to diagnose actions and validate restorations.
• Support incident/change/configuration management processes with proper records and approvals.
