Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 0–3 years in network operations, NOC, or junior network engineering roles.
• Foundational networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, basic firewall behavior in enterprise LAN/WAN.
• Exposure to network management tools (e.g., Cisco or Juniper devices; SolarWinds or similar platforms).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication; accurate incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network devices, circuits, and services using network management tools and acknowledge alerts.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting: verify reachability, interface status, link utilization, basic config before escalation.
• Execute standard operating procedures for routine NOC tasks: health checks, device restarts, low-risk changes.
• Document incidents, changes, and resolutions with symptoms, diagnostics, escalation, and outcomes.
• Participate in 24x7 coverage with shift logs and concise handoffs between shifts.
• Collaborate with senior NOC engineers by gathering data and learning advanced techniques.
• Support change and incident management processes to ensure proper recording and approvals.
