Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Junior NOC Engineer to monitor and support enterprise network infrastructure from a dedicated operations center. You will perform initial troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to senior engineers to ensure high availability for mission-critical services.

Working in a 24x7 model, you will document incidents, changes, and outcomes, follow standard procedures, and participate in shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of network operations or junior NOC experience.
• Foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
• Exposure to enterprise network tools (Cisco/Juniper, SolarWinds).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• US citizenship with current secret security clearance (active within past 24 months).
• Current DoD 8180 IAT‑II certification (Security+ or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network devices, circuits, and services and acknowledge alerts by impact.
• Perform first‑line troubleshooting: verify reachability, interface status, and basic config before escalation.
• Execute routine NOC tasks: health checks, device restarts, low‑risk changes under direction.
• Document incidents, changes, and resolutions in ticketing systems with clear details.
• Support 24x7 operations with proper shift handoffs and logs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to gather diagnostics and learn advanced techniques.
• Assist adherence to change and incident management processes.
