Job summary

Technologent is seeking a Junior Network Technician in Dallas–Fort Worth for a 6+ month contract. The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on networking experience and local travel between customer sites to support infrastructure operations.

You will install, rack, stack, cable, and perform basic config/troubleshooting on Cisco switches, with growth opportunities alongside senior engineers. Ideal candidates are local to DFW, familiar with TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, and documentation practices, and

Qualifications

1–3 years of hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure.
Local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and able to travel between customer sites.
CCNA certification preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches.
Experience with rack and stack, structured cabling, patch panels, and hardware installations.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and DHCP.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in enterprise networking.

Responsibilities

Install, rack, stack, and cable network equipment at customer locations.
Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco switches.
Assist with network hardware deployments, replacements, and upgrades.
Troubleshoot Layer 1 and basic Layer 2 network connectivity issues.
Label, document, and maintain network equipment and cabling.
Work closely with senior engineers during network implementations and maintenance activities.
Travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area to support multiple customer sites.
Follow established documentation, change management, and safety procedures.
