Job description

We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and customer-oriented Network Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance for
customers. This role is critical in maintaining the stability, security, and availability of Internet services.

Job Duties
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network connectivity issues involving switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
  • Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects.
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Perform cabling, patching, and physical network infrastructure maintenance.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and changes.
  • Support VoIP and unified communications systems.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot circuit and connectivity issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company security standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Respond to network-related outages as needed.
Relevant Skills
  • Networking: Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Network Hardware: Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Familiarity with network monitoring tools and packet analysis.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and maintain accurate network documentation.
Requirements
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A Valid Driver's license
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree, technical certification, or 2+ years of relevant networking experience preferred.
  • General understanding of network design, IP addressing, subnetting, and network protocols.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting switches and routers preferred.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Periodic travel for job duties, site installations, and training.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent are a plus.
