Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Junior Network Engineer in Richmond, VA to support enterprise network security services. You will work on engineering, migration, and operations of security solutions, including NGFWs and visibility tools.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to handle escalations in a fast-paced environment. You will participate in on-call rotations, contribute to documentation, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver secure, scalable network infrastructure

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years experience with Next Generation Firewalls and enterprise network security technologies.
• Must be able to submit to a background investigation and obtain customer clearance.

Responsibilities

• Configures and maintains cloud and on-premises network security solutions.
• Maintains the integrity and security of the network device estate.
• Creates, maintains, and updates documentation (diagrams, SOPs, runbooks).
• Supports and develops automation for configuration, validation, and reporting tasks.
• Maintains knowledge of core network security technologies and monitors deployments.
