General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level Network Engineer in Virginia to design, deploy, and operate enterprise network security solutions for cloud and on-premises environments.

You will work in a fast-paced team handling next-generation firewalls, SASE/SSE platforms, and multi-tenant environments, with on-call rotations and security clearances. Hybrid work is available within the region.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience with Next Generation Firewalls and enterprise network security technologies; 3+ years preferred.
• Networking, routing, firewall, and switching fundamentals; Palo Alto NGFW and related platforms.

Responsabilités

• Designs, deploys, configures, and maintains cloud and on-premises network security solutions.
• Maintains the integrity and security of the network device estate.
• Executes day-to-day implementation tasks for service takeovers and migrations.
• Creates and updates documentation and runbooks.
• Supports automation for configuration, validation, and reporting.
• Keeps knowledge of network security technologies current.
• Monitors deployments and participates in phased rollouts.
• Works across teams and with external customers.
• Handles escalations and provides solutions.
• May coach less-experienced professionals.
• Coordinates hardware/software acquisition and subcontractor services.
