Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support enterprise network security services in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on migration, engineering, and operations of security solutions, including NGFWs and related tooling, across multi-tenant environments. The role requires hands-on work with Palo Alto platforms, Juniper SRX, and related visibility and automation tools, with a focus on learning and growth within a large team delivering

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience with Next Generation Firewalls and enterprise network security technologies.
• Networking (Routing, Firewall, and Switching) and Palo Alto Networks expertise.
• Must be able to obtain customer clearance prior to onboarding.
• Excellent communication skills and strong documentation discipline.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Configures and maintains cloud and on-premises network security solutions.
• Maintains integrity and security of the network device estate.
• Creates and updates diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Supports automation for configuration, validation, and reporting tasks.
• Monitors and improves deployments and supports phased rollouts.
• Collaborates with teams and external groups to implement solutions.
