Job summary

New Hope Community is seeking a Junior Network Administrator for an in-person role in Loch Sheldrake, NY. You will support, monitor, and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring performance and reliability for staff and services.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team within IT. This is a non-remote, on-site position reporting to the Manager of Information Technology Services.

Qualifications

• Network concepts familiarity
• End-user support experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting abilities
• Security administration awareness

Responsibilities

• Network Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and apply updates/patches
• Monitoring & Support: Monitor network performance and respond to tickets
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues and escalate when needed
• Security Administration: Assist in maintaining network security including user accounts and VPNs
• Documentation: Create and maintain network configurations, inventories, and diagrams
• End-User Support: Provide technical assistance to staff for workstations and network access

Education

Degree in CS/IS or related
