Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Early Career Mechanical Engineer for our Minneapolis, MN office. Be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings Team and help design, develop, build, test, and inspect mechanical systems on infrastructure and construction projects.

You will collect data from sites and surveys, perform basic research, and provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to ensure proper installation and functioning of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
Familiarity with process and concepts for design/build.
Familiarity with relevant mechanical system and construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and reports for project development and design.
Assist with basic professional mechanical engineering work relating to research and inspections of site conditions to determine conformance with rules and permits.
Perform routine engineering functions and provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies.
