Job summary

Felling Trailers, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Designer I to create models and drawings for weldments, assemblies and parts using SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD. You will generate BOMs via Syspro and support sales orders and new product development with engineering input.

You will mentor junior engineers, stay current on CAD best practices, and collaborate with production to ensure designs are manufacturable and delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Experience using CAD/CAE tools to develop manufacturable designs.
• Awareness of DOT standards affecting product design.

Responsibilities

• Work independently or as part of a team to design weldments, assemblies and parts.
• Create routed system models and drawings using CAD software.
• Generate BOMs via Syspro and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to solve design issues.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and keep management informed of progress.
