Job summary

L&M Radiator, Inc. is seeking a Drafting Engineer to join our Design Team at our northern Minnesota headquarters. You will design and revise engineering drawings and layouts that meet standards and production requirements.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year mechanical drafting degree, SolidWorks experience, and 3–10 years of manufacturing background. Expect occasional overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting with SolidWorks Experience, or equivalent.
• 3-10 years of manufacturing experience at L&M Radiator or similar.
• 3-5 years of experience with detail drawings for sheet metal assemblies and weldments.
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems (Team Center, SmarTeam, other).
• Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing requests and ECOs and design drawings/models, layouts or BOMs.
• Coordinate with requester to discuss scope and schedule.
• Use SolidWorks/SmarTeam to develop layouts and drawings meeting specifications.
• Prepare preliminary drawings and obtain approvals or modifications.
• Identify and retrieve existing drawings using SmarTeam and Epicor.
• Prepare detailed scale drawings and data input for product records.
• Assist with customer service, project documentation, and department tasks.
• Travel domestically/internationally as required by projects.
