Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a mechanical engineer for the Custom Solutions Engineering group. You will design turbo machinery package systems using Creo, develop sub-systems, and deliver MID drawings and BOMs for production and customers.

The role requires coordination with multiple teams, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while applying structural and system design knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Create Creo designs of turbo machinery package systems and components.
• Design custom piping, hoses, and bracketry.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the Mechanical Interface Drawing (MID).
• Prepare BOMs and drawings to support production.
• Coordinate with design teams, procurement, and suppliers as needed.
• Support Lean and other process-improvement initiatives.
• Apply analysis techniques to structures and piping systems.
