Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Gas Services Engineering team. You will design, develop, and implement turbine and combustion system components, creating 3D models and PMI drawings using Siemens NX or Creo, while collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

You will drive product development, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvements, supporting supplier qualification and NPI initiatives across multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, turbomachinery, aerospace, or rotating equipment.
• Experience with CAD modeling software such as Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of GD&T, PMI, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop gas turbine, combustion, and turbomachinery components from concept through production
• Create 3D models, PMI drawings, GD&T documentation, and engineering specifications using Siemens NX, Creo, or similar CAD platforms
• Support product development, manufacturing readiness, and design improvements
• Partner with supplier, sourcing, manufacturing, project management, and engineering teams to optimize performance, quality, and cost
• Lead technical problem-solving efforts and drive continuous product improvements
• Support supplier qualification and new product introduction activities
• Provide technical guidance to global manufacturing and engineering teams
