Caterpillar Solar Turbines Incorporated in San Diego, California, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Custom Solutions Engineering group. You will create Creo designs for turbo machinery packages, develop piping/bracketry, and ensure MID accuracy for production and customers.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering with a minimum 2.8 GPA and have experience with gas turbine systems, Creo Parametric, and Windchill.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Experience with Gas Turbine Systems.
• Knowledge of Linked / Configurable Data.
• Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet project deadlines.

Mansioni

• Create the Creo design of the turbo machinery package systems and components.
• Design of custom piping, hoses and bracketry.
• Prepare Mechanical Interface Drawings (MID) and BOMs for production.
• Coordinate with purchasing, suppliers and other design teams.
• Support Lean process improvements and cross-functional activities.
