Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 0-1 years experience
• Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, AWS, NFPA, UL, OSHA and other standards
• Experience in manufacturing or custom equipment environments
• Basic Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling and drawing creation
• Basic understanding of GD&T, drafting principles and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specs and drawings
• Fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems supporting Caterpillar engines, generator sets and packaged power equipment.
• Develop complete 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
• Produce manufacturing documentation: fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs.
• Coordinate packaging for manufacturability, serviceability and regulatory compliance.
• Support production by resolving manufacturing issues and implementing design improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and interface with customers and vendors regarding technical requirements.
