Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an engineering leader to design, develop, build, and implement new components, products, or technologies in a self-directed manner. You will mentor others and lead projects across multiple groups including GTPE, Technology & NPI, Turbomachinery Operations, and Global supply chain.

The role focuses on lean engineering, quality, lifecycle costs, performance, durability, serviceability, maintainability, and time to market, interfacing with customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads new designs and teams, resolving manufacturing or operational issues for complex components and systems.
• Guides evolution of new technologies and process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Defines and implements engineering procedures to improve reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborates with all functional areas to deliver design solutions meeting enterprise requirements.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
