Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp is hiring an onsite Mechanical Engineer in Downers Grove, IL to support customers, suppliers, marketing, sales, manufacturing and quality teams. You will design, develop and apply mechanical seals, bearings, tooling, and actuators for Rexnord Aerospace products, create definitions and drawings, and assist in product validation.

Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 0–3 years’ experience, and proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO or CATIA.

Qualifications

• 0 - 3 years of experience in the field or related area; previous design of mechanical components is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, and CATIA is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Customers, Suppliers, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality departments.
• Under guidance, support design, development and application of mechanical seals, bearings, tooling, actuators, and other Rexnord Aerospace products.
• Create product definitions, solid models, drawings and ECNs; support validation package development.
• Participate in RBS events and related Toyota Production System processes.
• Maintain/support existing products including non-conformance dispositions and returned material analysis.
