Job summary

Liberty Diversified International's Liberty Packaging division in Rock Island, IL is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator I. You will support machine operators, set up orders, perform quality checks, and help with routine upkeep in a fast-paced corrugated manufacturing environment.

This full-time role reports to a Production Supervisor and requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math, ability to read work instructions, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution or 1+ years manufacturing experience inplace of education.
• Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of orders according to customer specifications and prepare tools.
• Assist machine operators during quality checks to identify issues and ensure quality product.
• Monitor production metrics to track progress, quality, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders and assist with troubleshooting to maximize efficiency.
• Intermittently assist with minor repairs to equipment with maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following post order cleaning process.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
