Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking an M/E Engineer 1 for our Advanced Facilities Group. The role focuses on learning and supporting mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities across multiple projects.

Candidates will assist in budgeting, bid analysis, and coordinating with subcontractors. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, strong communication, and proficiency with basic M/E tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field is required.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Engage in entry level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
• Support in developing budgetary M/E estimates from program and schematic information.
• Review mechanical/electrical options during preconstruction and analyze systems.
• Prepare M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assist bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Help develop sequencing for various systems to meet schedules.
• Support design document review to identify constructability issues.
• Perform job inspections to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Assist with shop drawing/submittal process.
• Assist with commissioning through pre-functional checklists and testing procedures.
