Job summary

Abcworkers is seeking an entry-level IT Operations & Development Associate to join our onsite IT team in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. You will help with daily IT operations, system administration, troubleshooting, and development tasks across manufacturing systems and corporate infrastructure.

This role offers hands-on exposure to Windows and Linux, scripting, AD basics, security practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Entry-level IT operations and development roles require foundational IT knowledge and willingness to learn across networking, servers, and security.
Experience with basic IT tasks and a proactive problem-solving mindset is valued.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the facility.
Assist with basic server administration, user access management, and Active Directory tasks.
Support Windows and Linux systems, including command-line and scripting tasks.
Maintain web-hosted applications and databases.
Use remote support tools for onsite and remote users.
Participate in small development and automation projects using programming languages and frameworks.
Assist with ERP system support, including integrated VPN access.
Contribute to cloud, virtualization, and security initiatives under IT supervision.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow security and process protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing independent tasks.
