Job summary

H MART Headquarters in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a junior interior designer to support design reviews and prepare interior design packages for commercial and retail projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into practical construction drawings and FF&E documentation.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Interior Design or Architecture and 1–3 years of related experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software. Travel within the United States is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience in interior or retail design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software; basic drafting skills.
• Knowledge of interior construction drawings and finish plans.

Responsibilities

• Support design review and proposal development for H Mart commercial and retail projects
• Prepare and revise interior design packages, construction drawings, and detail drawings
• Assist with material selection, furniture layouts, lighting selection, and FF&E documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and general contractors
• Maintain and update the internal library of materials, finishes, and vendor catalogs
• Generate 3D renderings and visualizations for internal design presentations
• Monitor project progress and ensure design specifications are being followed during the construction phase
• Organize and track project schedules, deliverables, and FF&E budgets to ensure timely completion
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews
