Job summary

H Mart is seeking a Junior Interior Designer / Architectural Designer to support commercial and retail design projects. The role assists senior designers in preparing interior design packages, construction drawings, finish schedules, furniture layouts, and design review materials.

Responsibilities include reviewing proposals, coordinating with vendors and contractors, creating 3D renderings, and tracking FF&E budgets. Travel within the US is required; Korean language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 1-3 years of related experience in interior design, architecture, retail design, or commercial design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software with basic drafting skills.
• Basic understanding of interior construction drawings including finish plans and elevations.
• Ability to travel within the United States as needed.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design review and proposal development for H Mart commercial and retail projects.
• Prepare and revise interior design packages, construction drawings, and detail drawings.
• Assist with material selection, furniture layouts, lighting selection, and FF&E documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and general contractors on assigned tasks.
• Maintain and update the internal library of materials, finishes, and vendor catalogs.
• Generate/Support high-quality 3D renderings and visualizations for internal design presentations.
• Monitor project progress and ensure design specifications are followed during construction.
• Organize and track project schedules, deliverables, and FF&E budgets for timely completion.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and design reviews.
