Job summary

Zyscovich seeks a Junior Interior Designer in Jacksonville to support senior designers and project managers from concept to completion. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience and growth within a dynamic design environment.

You will revise drawings, assist in client meetings, create presentation materials, and help with interior plans, elevations and details while learning to manipulate space, color, light, and textures under supervision.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
• Typically, 0-3 years of experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field

Responsibilities

• Revises drawings, presentations and renderings as assigned under regular supervision.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing support to senior designers and helping to address client feedback and inquiries.
• Assist in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations.
• Learn to manipulate basic design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale.
• Assists with preparing implementation document sets (i.e., interior plans, fixture plans, elevations, details)
• Work collaboratively with other team members, including architects, contractors, and vendors, to coordinate design implementation and ensure project success.
• Assists with the development of interiors concepts based on client vision, desire, project scope and architectural concept.
• Utilizes creative thinking to achieve innovative solutions.
• Conducts research (i.e., conceptual, site, client, materials) for the project team.
• Schedules updates with vendors and maintains finish library.
