Job summary

Jerseydigs is seeking an entry-level Interior Designer to create plans and designs for client spaces, develop drawings and cost estimates, and coordinate with contractors and vendors. The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork and close project supervision to deliver polished spaces.

You will work on furniture plans, renderings, and millwork layouts, while documenting fixtures, finishes, and layouts. A bachelor's degree in interior design is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Photoshop, Sketchup & the Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and designs that enhance a living space based on the needs of a client.
• Plans use and layout of the space and decorating with color, furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Develop drawings, presentations, and cost estimates.
• Develop furniture plans, renderings, technical drawings for custom millwork, custom furniture, tile layouts, and plumbing locations.
• Research, design, select, specify and document furniture, fixtures, lighting, finishes, millwork, etc.
• Coordinate the work of contractors and vendors.
• Work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
• Work is closely managed.
