Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts invites applications for a Junior Estimator to join a growing industrial construction team in Matthews, NC. This role offers a path to develop estimating expertise alongside experienced professionals.

You will review RFQs, perform takeoffs, gather pricing, and assist with bids on large HVAC/sheet metal projects. A background in construction estimating with blueprint reading and strong communication is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Construction Technology or related field with 1+ year of industrial HVAC/sheet metal estimating experience, or 3+ years in the field.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with QuickPen or similar estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, RFPs, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Assist with project estimates, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
• Develop relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Support large-scale industrial HVAC and sheet metal construction projects.
