Jobot in Matthews, North Carolina, is seeking a Permanent Mechanical Estimator to join our team. You will focus on HVAC, mechanical, piping, and plumbing construction, providing accurate cost estimates that directly influence project outcomes.

You will use Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, and related software to prepare estimates. Collaborating with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors, you will define requirements, review estimates, and support bid decisions.

Formación

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimation, with a focus on HVAC, mechanical, and/or piping construction.
• Proven experience as an Estimator or Industrial Estimator.
• Proficiency in Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of orthographic drawing and ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, piping, construction projects.
• Analyzing orthographic drawings and technical specifications to assess material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Using Onscreen Take-Off, Trimble Business Center, and other relevant software for preparing estimates.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to understand project requirements and resolve issues.
• Reviewing and evaluating cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Presenting estimates and conducting cost-benefit analyses for management's review.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and methods to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
• Participating in bid negotiations and assisting in the procurement of major equipment and subcontracts.
