Job summary
RemX | The Workforce Experts invites applications for a Junior Estimator to join a growing industrial construction team in Matthews, NC. This role offers a path to develop estimating expertise alongside experienced professionals.
You will review RFQs, perform takeoffs, gather pricing, and assist with bids on large HVAC/sheet metal projects. A background in construction estimating with blueprint reading and strong communication is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Construction Technology or related field with 1+ year of industrial HVAC/sheet metal estimating experience, or 3+ years in the field.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with QuickPen or similar estimating software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQs, RFPs, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform material and labor takeoffs.
- Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Assist with project estimates, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
- Develop relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.

- 3+ years of industrial HVAC/sheet metal estimating experience
