Job summary

Akkodis is seeking three entry/junior HiL Test Engineers to join our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Lab in the Detroit area, supporting a major domestic OEM. You’ll gain hands-on experience with ADAS, powertrain, and vehicle control systems, contributing to test setup, automation, and validation.

Starting pay ranges up to $75,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and professional development through Akkodis Academy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, embedded software, and control systems.
• Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools is a plus.
• Exposure to HiL simulations and tools like dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or Vector tools is beneficial.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, or C++) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and configuring Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test benches for vehicle system validation.
• Support the design, integration, and troubleshooting of HiL systems, including ADAS, powertrain, and chassis subsystems.
• Conduct system-level testing, analyzing CAN messages, verifying end-of-line functionality, and ensuring seamless software integration.
• Work with automation teams to enhance test efficiency through scripting and test automation.
• Collaborate with feature owners and test engineers to execute test cases, analyze results, and document issues.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering decisions.
• Gain exposure to tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and HiL platforms.
