Akkodis is seeking an experienced HIL Lead/Project Manager for a full-time role in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will bring five-plus years of automotive testing experience, including at least two years in test leadership or project management, with exposure to HIL environments.

This role does not require direct team management. Responsibilities include understanding and debugging HIL/vehicle issues, leading SYS/SW test activities, defining test goals, tailoring test

Responsibilities

• Understand and debug HIL/vehicle issues; support software development teams.
• Carry out product validation and verification across SYS and SW test levels.
• Define test goals and strategies based on risk, budget, and schedule.
• Specify test coverage and sequence.
• Estimate resources and manage testing budgets and timelines.
• Lead test team meetings and participate in test reviews.
• Execute and document all tests, including work by subcontractors.
• Track test schedules, effort, and costs; report status to management.
• Escalate delays in regular meetings when unresolved.

Job description

Due to continued expansion and growth, Akkodis is seeking an additional HIL Lead/Project Manager for a full-time role on our dedicated team over the next several years in the Detroit Metropolitan area. All interested candidates shall possess a total of five (5) plus years of automotive testing to include at least 2 years of test lead/project management experience with some exposure towards a HIL environment. This position is only relevant to Project Test Management and DO NOT require prior direct leadership/management of team experience. There are no direct reports associated with these roles.

Pay Range: $120,000 to $130,000/yr. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

HIL Lead/Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Understand and debugs the issues found on the Hil and vehicle and support SW development team for further analysis with Lead experience.
• Description performs all Product Validation and Verification activities for all SYS test / SW test levels as described above.
• Defines the test goal and strategy according to risks, budget, and time.
• Tailors and specifies the test coverage and sequence.
• Estimates and requests resources for testing.
• Analyses the training request.
• Defines and acquires the test environment for the different test levels.
• Leads the test team, establishes a periodic meeting within the test team (with standard agenda).
• Participates in all test reviews.
• Is responsible for the execution and documentation of all tests (including tests performed by
• subcontractors).
• Tracks the test schedule, effort and costs.
• Distributes the System/software test status and information to the team management and program management.
• Escalates to the line management in regular management meetings in case of test delays cannot be solved by the program Manager or test team.
• Define countermeasures if deviations from the System/Software Master Test Plan occur.
• Synchronizes the SYS test / SW test schedule with the overall program schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree is required. Master's degree a plus.
• Five (5) plus years of automotive testing with some exposure within a HIL environment to include at least 2 years of lead/project test management experience. These positions are only relevant to Test Management and DO NOT require prior direct leadership/management of team experience.
• Domains – ADAS/BCM/Powertrain.
• Tools – DSPACE, Vector CAN tools, ECU Test tool, JIRA usage.
• Scripting – Python and/or CAPL.
• Expertise in System Testing and Software Testing. Knowledge on unit/module testing and software integration testing.
• Exposure on Agile practices.
