Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking an Accountant I – General Ledger to support the Finance Team with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions. The role involves month-end close activities, audits, and adherence to GAAP and IFRS policies.

The ideal candidate will perform routine payroll tasks, reconcile ledgers, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This position may require extended hours as needed to complete close processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing and month-end close.
• Strong general ledger accounting background.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards, and experience with internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports payroll transactions.
• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts and reports.
• Maintain and allocate project hours.
• Performs general ledger tasks and reconciles accounts.
• Maintains cashbook and bank statement reconciliation.
• Assist with month end closing functions.
• Participates in audits (financial and SOX).
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
