Job summary

Sakata Ornamentals in Woodland, CA seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant to support month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This non-supervisory role reports to the Accounting Manager and requires solid GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include adjusting entries, intercompany activity, tax provision entries, state filings, audit support, and internal controls documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including GL responsibilities.
• CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close and General Ledger: Prepare and enter adjusting and recurring journal entries.
• Review monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and resolve items.
• Prepare/ review standalone and consolidated monthly financial entries, including eliminations.
