Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a part-time Junior Fleet Mechanic in Michigan. You will assist with mower and equipment repairs, perform oil changes, blade sharpening, and equipment washing while helping maintain a clean, organized shop.

The position runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with pay ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, depending on experience. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of repair and diagnostic experience with small engines.
• Experience with landscaping equipment preferred.
• Must have valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist fleet mechanics with mower and equipment repairs.
• Change oil and replace/sharpen mower blades.
• Wash equipment and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Support overall shop cleanliness and organization.
• Work Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

• General knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Physical requirements:
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to push and pull equipment and materials as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use and grasp hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform work involving repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work both outdoors and in noisy environments.
