Job summary

Artheon, an engineering and consulting firm, is seeking entry-level Civil Engineering graduates to support transportation infrastructure projects in Berlin, NJ. The role involves field inspections, interpreting construction plans, and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Will to work outdoors in an active construction environment.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Flexibility for night shifts and occasional weekend work as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on highway, bridge, airport, and transportation infrastructure construction projects.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, field documentation, and project records.
• Assist with Office Engineer responsibilities, including reviewing construction documentation and coordinating project information.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, project managers, contractors, and client agencies.
• Support materials testing, quality assurance, and project closeout documentation as required.
• Work on-site daily, with availability for night shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends based on project schedules.
